Almost everybody is aware of the dirty politics in Karnataka recently that shook the entire country and its political scenario. It was only in the month of October 2010 that Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa terminated few of his cabinet ministers for rebelling and withdrawing their support to his 29 months old government. Owing to this burning issue, more BJP MLAs withdrew their support for Yeddyurappa government, followed by five more independent MLAs rebelling against him. With such displeasure in Karnataka political scenario, a confidence vote has to be conducted on 12th October 2010.

However, there were more displeasures to follow, revealing the dirty politics in Karnataka

. The state governor H R Bharadwaj gave advice to Karnataka assembly speaker K G Bopaiah not to terminate or disqualify any MLAs. But in 12th October 2010 morning, the speaker disqualified all the 16 MLAs rebelling against Karnataka Chief Minister. The assembly strength reduced to 208 from 224 members, calling for a voice voting that was conducted by the assembly speaker and BJP, who has support of 106 MLAs. No wonder, BJP was declared a clean winner with its support from the MLAs. Again this trust vote results induced dissatisfaction among JD party and the so called ruled party, Congress as well, declaring the process to be unfair and a blot on Indian democracy.

But this was not the end to it. The Karnataka Governor, Bharadwaj, a pro-Congress member, came to the limelight for some time due to all wrong things happening in the state political scenario. Owing to Karnataka’s Chief Minister’s win in disqualifying 16 MLAs from the assembly and BJP winning the trust vote with the support of 106 MLAs, Bharadwaj took a politically motivated and unprecedented decision by sanctioning the petition to prosecute Karnataka Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa. The state cabinet had passed a resolution earlier, urging the governor to terminate the prosecution petition, but Bharadwaj stick to his political collision and declared that the cabinet is trying to hide the corruption allegations. According to some experts and top politicians, Karnataka Governor is acting much beyond the true nature of a state governor, and this incident is again portraying how Congress is actually misusing the power in their hands. This party has been in limelight for some time now, owing to several scams and political displeasure. It is believed that by prosecuting Yeddyurappa, Congress is trying to ward off the scam attention from them, and put BJP on the same dock as theirs. This clearly reflects the dirt politics in Karnataka building up for some time now.
