North, South Korea announce summit about ‘denuclearization and peace’ for April 27

North Korea and South Korea announced a top-level summit to be held on April 27. The summit, the third of its kind, was announced in a joint statement released through South Korea’s Ministry of Unification.

China’s Tiangong-1 space station crashes into Pacific

Sunday, the China Manned Space Engineering Office confirmed the Tiangong-1 space laboratory fell out of orbit, with much of the 10.4-meter structure burning up in Earth’s atmosphere before the remainder crashed into the Pacific Ocean at 8:15 a.m. Beijing time.

US Republicans query Linux Foundation about open-source security

On Monday, two US Republican legislators, Greg Walden and Frank Pallone Jr., respectively the chairman and the ranking member of the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce, co-wrote a public letter to Jim Zemlin, executive director of The Linux Foundation, about open-source software and improving its security.

United States: Emergency calls from Great Mills High School shooting released

St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office released audio recordings of calls to the emergency phone line 911 made during the March 20 school shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland, United States. The sheriff’s office said the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced Australian cricketers David Warner and Steve Smith were banned from this year’s Indian Premier League after the ball tampering incident in a Cape Town test match versus South Africa.
